Rational Equation. (Why is it that when I am intentional about trying to simplify things in my life, my life gets more complicated? 😕🙄😩 Arghhhh! Before I digress more, let me focus.) I'm just taking it back to a classic topic that many don't like...and I don't blame them. FRACTIONS! Not just fractions but, fractions in an equation. I know, I know... L👀k, it wasn't my idea to put fractions and equations together but, it was my idea to make it this week's WMP! Why? Because we can do it and, it helps us to keep fundamental math skills sharp. Let's go!
To solve this week's problem in completion, you need to recall the following math skills:
✔️ How to solve an equation with fractions
WMP! #53 wants us to...
Check back on Friday, June 11th for the solution, which will be posted below ⬇️.

Ready? Let's go. 🏃🏿♀️
There are a couple of options here--either convert all of the fractions to have the same denominator or, make all of the denominators disappear. I am the type of person to do the latter. Lots of people don't like working with fractions. Nothing wrong with that...I totally get it. The good news is that you don't have to; you can "make them disappear". 😁 To make the fractions disappear, You need to find the LCD (least common denominator) for the fractions in the problem.
Once the LCD has been found, use it to make the fractions disappear. How? Glad you asked. Multiply every fraction in the equation by the LCD. Then solve the resulting linear equation.
Let's check the solution...just in case a mistake was made in solving. 😉
